Discover La Caracola

If you find yourself wandering around Costa Teguise and craving a delightful meal, La Caracola is a spot you definitely don’t want to miss. Tucked away at Plaza Pueblo Marinero, Local 8, in Las Palmas, this charming eatery offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere paired with an impressive menu that’s sure to please any palate. Whether you’re visiting for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner, La Caracola’s blend of traditional Spanish flavors with a modern twist makes it a perfect choice.

Walking into La Caracola, the first thing you’ll notice is its cozy, intimate ambiance. The interior is stylish yet relaxed, creating an inviting space where guests can unwind after a day of sightseeing or shopping. The friendly staff makes you feel right at home, providing service that’s both attentive and casual, striking the perfect balance.

The menu here is where things really shine. While La Caracola offers a variety of dishes, it's the seafood that truly stands out. The fish is always fresh, sourced locally, which means you're getting the best of what the ocean has to offer. A popular choice among visitors is the grilled fish of the day, served with a side of crispy potatoes and a zesty homemade sauce. It’s simple, yet the flavors are rich and satisfying.

For those who prefer something more hearty, the selection of meats does not disappoint. The grilled steaks are cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, with just the right amount of char. You’ll also find a great range of tapas options-small plates that allow you to sample a little bit of everything. From crispy croquettes to succulent prawns, the tapas are perfect for sharing and exploring different tastes.

La Caracola is also known for its excellent variety of wines, which complement the food wonderfully. Whether you prefer a light, crisp white or a full-bodied red, the staff can recommend a perfect pairing from their extensive wine list. And if you're in the mood for something a bit stronger, their cocktails are well-crafted and refreshing, making it a great spot to kick back and enjoy the evening.

But it’s not just the food and drinks that make La Caracola stand out; it's also the location. Plaza Pueblo Marinero is a charming area in Costa Teguise, full of quaint shops and relaxed vibes. It’s the perfect place to take a stroll before or after your meal. You’ll find plenty of seating outdoors, so if the weather is nice, you can enjoy your meal with a view of the square, adding to the already delightful experience.

In terms of pricing, La Caracola offers excellent value for money. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. Whether you’re popping in for a light lunch or settling in for a more elaborate dinner, the prices remain reasonable, which makes it a fantastic option for both tourists and locals alike.

When it comes to customer feedback, La Caracola has garnered a loyal following. Many visitors highlight the friendly, personable service and the consistent quality of the food. One reviewer mentions, "The seafood was incredible, and I loved the fact that it was so fresh. The staff was friendly, and the location couldn’t be better." Another guest says, "The perfect place for a relaxed dinner with friends. The tapas were a hit, and we couldn’t get enough of the sangria."

In addition to its stellar food and service, La Caracola is also a great option for families. The laid-back atmosphere is ideal for enjoying a leisurely meal together, and with a wide variety of dishes to choose from, everyone is sure to find something they love. • A lovely little cafe. We had breakfast here. I had the yohurt bowl with coffee and my partner had the full Irish. The food was delicious and the coffee is the best i've had in costa Teguise. The staff were polite and friendly. The also make cakes and treats which looked amazing. We will be back to try them. Check it out you won't be disappointed. Seating is mostly outside limited seating inside.

  • Absolutely delicious! The map was taking us in circles to find it, it's just off the main square and so glad we persevered! The nutella coffee was delicious, my partner and I shared a bagel, a baguette and homemade cake. Absolutely delicious!

  • This is one of the more hidden breakfast spots, where you will find mostly local people. We had a rich breakfast and had an overall great experience. The food was tasty and really enjoyed the croissant with Nutella, the Omelette with Serrano and the fresh smoothie. Coffee was great as well
